When reporting a problem, it helps to include your iPhone model, your iOS version, and what you did just before it went wrong. Please do not send screenshots of your cycle log unless they are needed — they usually are not.
Common questions
Where is my data stored?
On your iPhone only, inside the app's private storage. It is never uploaded. See the privacy policy for the detail.
I got a new phone. How do I move my log?
Restoring an encrypted iPhone or iCloud backup to the new device brings the app's data with it. If you are not restoring a backup, use Settings → Export my data on the old phone first and keep the file. Importing is not available yet, so the export is a record you keep rather than something the app can read back today.
How do I delete everything?
Settings → Delete all data inside the app, or delete the app itself. Both remove the database from your device. Because nothing was ever uploaded, there is nothing else to erase.
How do I cancel my subscription?
Subscriptions are handled by Apple: Settings → your Apple Account → Subscriptions on your device. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription. Refunds are also Apple's, at reportaproblem.apple.com.
Why do the predictions sometimes say they are unsure?
Because they are. With no history the app uses the cycle length you entered and says so. After about three logged cycles the estimates come from your own pattern. If your cycles vary a lot, it tells you that rather than implying a precision it does not have.
Can I use this to avoid or achieve pregnancy?
No. Period Tracker by Gita is not a medical device and is not contraception. The fertile window it shows is an estimate and can be wrong, including for people with regular cycles. Talk to a clinician about anything that concerns you.
